F.A.Q.

  • Q: What does the name "V.O.N." stand for?
  • A: Well, it stands for various odd names.
  • Q: Why does the V.O.N. logo have a snake on it?
  • A: The image comes from the American Revolutionary War era "Gadsden flag," designed by American general and statesman Christopher Gadsden. The snake was a mascot of the American Revolutionaries, proposed by Benjamin Franklin and Paul Revere, and its coiled demeanor represents their readiness to decisively oppose tyranny.
  • Q: How often will your albums come out?
  • A: I'm going to be aiming for a yearly basis.
  • Q: Will all your albums start with the letters V, O, N?
  • A: Maybe.
  • Q: Do you do any live shows?
  • A: Not at the moment.
  • Q: Will you custom-compose me a track?
  • A: If you've got a good idea for one, and if I've got the spare time, then perhaps.
  • Q: It sounds like there are spectral frequency images in some of your songs. Are there?
  • A: Yes.
  • Q: Why don't you copyright anything?
  • A: Because the notion of "intellectual property" is ludicrous, unenforceable, and necessarily infringes upon real property. For a more thorough explanation, please read Stephan Kinsella's Against Intellectual Property and Michele Boldrin & David Levine's Against Intellectual Monopoly.
